  Great Food. Really Great Food. It feels like that small town restaurant that everyone goes to because of the people and the food. I'm really hard pressed to not order the fried catfish every visit because it is so good. The fried chicken livers were fantastic. Drop a couple extra dollars and get the fresh fried pork skins as an appetizer, they are so much better when they come straight out of the fryer than anything you can buy at the store. Desserts are really good too, from the fried apple pies to the cobblers. Everyone that we have taken out to eat here can't say enough good things about the food and how good it is. My dad ordered the steamed turnips during lunch one day and they were even tasty. Who knew? Service can be a little slow at times and I wish the drinks came in bigger cups so you didn't have to get refills as often, but that is a small price to pay compared to how excellent the food is. Give it a try. Eat local.

  I love, love, love this restaurant. My husband and I always get the ribeye and its always cooked to perfection. Mr. Larry is always so welcoming and he know all of his regular customers. Keep up the great work Mr. Larry

  Actually I give this place 20 Stars!!!! I just wish I had had my phone with me to take pictures. That will come later I promise. This place is so unique it has so much more than just barbecue. My husband, Tapper, got the pulled pork plate (of course) with barbecue beans and coleslaw. Next time I will have the barbecue sauce on the side (just my preference). Some substitutions can be made for the sides. It also comes with delish yeast rolls. We also ordered fried pies to go. We got a peach and a pecan. they also have an amazing selection. Next time I'm going to try the coconut which has a coconut cream filling. YUM... Can't wait! We also ordered fried pigskins they come with barbecue powder on them but I ordered mine plane. They're still salty and you can get the barbecue powder on the side. Tuesday night is all you can eat fried catfish night. That's where I will be next Tuesday. Dinner starts at 4 p.m. The wait staff is so friendly and helpful and courteous. I just can't say enough. My next step is to meet Fat Larry. I just bet he is a character! See you there soon

  This is real Memphis BBQ. Smokey, sweet and lots of it! If you are one of those weirdos that likes vinegar based sauce, then you might not like it... at first. This is good, put some meat on your bones bbq. I have had the bbq bologna (my #2), the pulled pork, ribs, Chicken, and the brisket (my #1). Have loved everything. This is a must stop, if you are looking for a real Memphis BBQ experience. Come on they call him Fat Larry. Always trust a Fat cook. 😂 Picture is the sample plate for 1 $15!!!! All that for cheap. Pros: Great BBQ, good price point, large portions, friendly service, fast. Did I mention the brisket? Cons: Small so seating can be an issue as well as the parking, they don't have bread pudding ☹, is not on the main fairway so unless you are local you'll have to Google it.

  the rib-eye special was very good, and whenever they have prime rib, we are interested. The owner is often there, and you tend to get better service whenever a owner is closely keeping an eye on business. The sweet tea is to my liking; using real sugar during brewing process. The decor is old country, but clean and the atmosphere and dress code is very casual, they change their specials for different nights of the week, so you might want to check by calling advance to see what is being promoted. Prices are very reasonable for quality steaks.
